Usage

The KSX toolkit can be used for developing JMX agent applications accessible through SNMP.

The toolkit can be used to :

• Create JMX MBeans to represent a MIB and allow them to be accesses through SNMP.
• Provide access to existing JMX MBeans through SNMP.

Developing a JMX Agent & providing access through SNMP

• Load the MIB into the Koshna JMX MBean Stub Generator & generate the JMX MBean Stubs.
• Configure the SNMP Protocol Adaptor & associate it with the MBean Server .

Providing access to existing JMX MBeans through SNMP

• Create a XML mapping file with the SNMP protocol details of the MBeans & JMX Notifications.
• Configure the SNMP Protocol Adaptor using the protocol map file & associate it with the MBean server.
