Koshna JMX MBean Stub Generator

Koshna JMX MBean Stub Generator can be used to generate

• JMX MBeans and the JMX to SNMP protocol map files.

Generating JMX MBeans & the SNMP Protocol Mapping files

To generate the JMX MBeans & JMX Notifications repsesenting a MIB their SNMP protocol mapping information file using the MBean Stub Generator:

• Set the MIB Path in the MBean Generator using the Configure->Options Menu to the list of directories having the MIB files.

  

• Load the MIB into the MBean Stub Generator using the File->Load Menu.
• Set the Output Directory & PackageName in Koshna JMX MBean Stub Generator using the Configure->Options Menu.

  

• Generate the MBean Stubs using the Generate->Jmx Stubs Menu.

The generated files include:

• A Class representing the MIB.
• JMX MBean Classes representing the MIB Elements.
• JMX Notification Classes representing the Notifications defined in the MIB.
• Classes representing the Enumerated Types defined in the MIB.
• A XML file with the SNMP protocol mapping information of the JMX objects.
